A FUNDRAISING dinner for the Gordon Lennon Memorial Fund will take place on May 23 at Partick Thistle's Firhill Stadium.

Speakers will include former Scotland manager Craig Brown, ex-referee Kenny Clark as well as comedian Pat Rolink.

Fund chairman Robert Ryan said: "This will be a real football event with guests from many clubs in attendance. The committee is conscious of the tremendous contribution that Sons supporters have already made to the Guido fund.

"However, we are also aware that many will wish to attend such an event and with this in mind we are giving Sons supporters the first chance to secure tickets.

"Once interest has been registered tickets will be left at SHS for collection.

"I would like to take this opportunity of thanking the supporters of Dumbarton for their generosity in helping to raise nearly £20,000 so far for Kelly and Kai."

Tickets are £35 each and anyone wishing to go should register their interest by using the webform on the Dumbarton website before January 31.

And a comedy dinner has also been organised to celebrate last season's third division title success in style.

The event is being held at the Strathclyde Homes Stadium on March 27 when guests will have the chance to have their photo taken with the championship trophy.

Chairing the evening will be comedian Charlie Ross, who will be joined by funny man Raymond Mearns, and the world famous nearly man of Scottish fitba' Mr Bob Doolally and award winning comedian Des Clarke.

To book your seats call Alan Findlay on 07904 666 014 or email hospitality@dumbartonfootballclub.com. Tickets are £30 per person.
