DUMBARTON have finally secured the signature of pacey midfielder Graham Wilson.
As Sport Scene exclusively revealed last month, Wilson will play for the Sons next season after a spell with Junior giants Cumnock.
Wilson, who began his career at Kilmarnock, is of good pedigree and was chased by a number of senior sides before Sons boss Jim Chapman snapped him up.
Last season he helped the Ayrshire side seal promotion to the Super Premier League after they finished second in the First Division.
Sons assistant boss Alan Adamson said: "He looks an exciting player in training but he has a niggling injury at the moment.
"But as I have said, we won't really know what players are like until we see them in matches."
Meanwhile, the new-look Dumbarton team will be in action for the first time on Saturday as they will take on Annan Athletic in their first pre-season friendly game.
Galabank Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for Dumbarton as they clinched the Third Division championship there in 2009.
Chapman's side were involved in the tournament last season where they met Queen of the South and the hosts.
However, they were beaten on spot-kicks in both games.
Adamson added: "The game against Annan will be an assessment to see what we have got.
"The players are looking good in training and compared to last season the players' fitness is looking very good."
