With no Sons game next week due to the international break, Murray was well aware of the importance of Saturday’s match and said: “We didn’t want to go into the international break down in the dumps.
“We have Hearts coming here who are full of confidence and flying in the league so it was important we got something. The point was vital but three points is perfect.
“In the first half we were poor by all accounts but as the game developed we played the conditions well. We managed the conditions better than we did against Queen of the South and as the game wore on we looked surprisingly the fitter team if I’m being honest.”
