Busy time at Vale GC

THE Vale of Leven golf club has had a busy past few weeks after some hosting a number of competitions in all categories.

Most recently, the Lomond Cup ninth round was played out on July 29 where David Meechan was declared the winner of the second-class round after carding a 59 nett score. The best scratch was recorded by second-placed Alan Brown with a 69.

RESULTS - D Meechan 59, A Brown 59, C Wright 60, J Gordon 61, S Nugent 64, G Stott 65, J McArthur 66, R McGuinness 66. The second-class section was won by David Bond who carded a nett score of 62. Three players were tie for second on 63.

RESULTS - D Bond 62, D Spratt 63, J Thomson 63, S Muir 63, D Neill 64, D Gibson 64, A Reid 66, G Flynn 66, R McGinty 66, G Smith 66.

THE eighth round first class results - D Tipping 63, J McLauchlan 63, S Conner 66, R McGuinness 66, C Wright 67, K Mulvenna 67. Second class results - T Keatley 62, G Archer 62, A Gigli 64, J Eagleson 64, J McPhail 66, R Forrest 66.
