DUMBARTON'S clash with Alloa Athletic was called off on Saturday as the Strathclyde Homes Stadium pitch fell foul to the weather.
But the Sons and the Wasps were not the only clubs to suffer the winter weather in Scotland.
All Irn-Bru Scottish Second Division matches were called off because of plummeting temperatures and freak snow storms.
As of yet there has been no rearranged date for the league fixtures.
Jim Chapman's men can now look forward to their Boxing Day clash with Clyde at Broadwood.
The Bully Wee, with new boss John McCormack at the helm after John Brown was axed last month, will be desperate to pick up points as they are rooted at the bottom of the Second Divison.
Meanwhile, the Sons managed to extend keeper Jan Vojecek's contact at the club until the end of this season on Friday.
The Czech has impressed since he arrived from Sigma Olomouc in the summer and has produced some match-winning performances.
Agreement was reached with Czech side Sigma for the 27-year-old to continue playing at Dumbarton.
Chairman Colin Hosie commented: "This is a good piece of business for Dumbarton and of course for Jan.
"The manager and CEO have worked hard to conclude the deal and with the injury to David McEwan the timing couldn't be better."
