SONS striker Bryan Prunty hopes Dumbarton's progress won't come to a halt after Alan Adamson's men were out of action for two weeks.
Prunty scored in Dumbarton's last game against Forfar, however, their chance to follow up that victory was dashed after their next game against Albion Rovers was cancelled.
And the Sons were forced out of action again on Saturday due to the international break.
The hitman now hopes Dumbarton can put the disappointment behind them and secure all three points.
He told Sport Scene: "I think it upset us a bit. We had a good victory against Forfar and the game was called off a week later at the last moment.
"But we had a bounce game against Clyde and we got a good victory. We are just trying to keep momentum going.
"It is something we will need to deal with.
"It's really disappointing We won against Forfar and the game was cancelled the next week and then we also beat East Fife earlier in the season and the same thing happened.
"Our season has been interrupted. We are in training this week so we are just trying to keep things going."
The Sons face Stenhousemuir in their next league game this Saturday and the last time the two sides met, Dumbarton romped to a 6-2 win in the Stirlingshire Cup.
But Prunty expects a tricky game and added: "The boys who played in that game were on a high. But Stenhousemuir will be hurting after they were beaten by Airdrie.
"Our away form has been excellent so far this season. We will try and go to Stenny and get a result but it will be a tough game."
Despite the Sons patchy start to the league campaign, the striker is delighted with his phenomenal start which has saw him bag seven goals in the first three months.
He said: "To be honest, my season couldn't have gone any better. If someone had said I would score seven goals in all competitions by September, I would have bitten their hand off.
"I would like to think my game is more than scoring goals but it's good when they come along."
