Son's Lotto fever grips the Burgh

Print | Email

LOTTO fever continues to grip the area as a weekly Burgh lotto jackpot sky rockets to a record shattering £20,500.

The Sons Lotto jackpot has been building steadily for 11 months now as every week without a four-number winner results in an added £500.

George Parks, Sons Lotto organiser, is shocked at the current jackpot, which smashes the previous record total of £12,000.

George said: 'It has gone way beyond what I expected. This is amazing - every time it goes up the ticket sales go up.

'I thought it would have been won a long time before this - it amazes me no-one has won it.

'When we got beyond £10,000 ticket sales were climbing slowly, but in the last month or so it has gone beyond anything we could have expected.'

The rollover total is now approaching the capped £25,000 mark which will remain until someone wins.

At that point all ticket sales will go towards the various youth projects the lotto supports including the Dumbarton Football

Club youth set-up.

Tickets are available at various shops and pubs across the Burgh and the Vale.
