Loch Lomond 16 Carrick 0
LOCH LOMOND got their season back on track with a vital victory over Carrick to record their first win of the league campaign.
Lomond started poorly and Carrick were pushing them back early on.
But a succesful penalty by Nicholson allowed the home side to start getting the upper hand.
But a series of errors meant the score remained 3-0 into the break.
After the interval Nicholson slotted another penalty to stretch the lead to six, but Carrick were still in the game as a converted try would give them the lead.
Another penalty pushed the score to 9-0 and before Ferrier finished a flowing move under the posts to open up a 16 point gap.
LOCH LOMOND XV: McKay, C Norrie, I Norrie (Law), Tilley, Nicholson, M Flynn, Thomson, McGinty; Lewsley, Fairman; Todd, Ferrier, Mathieson, Brown (Muir), A Flynn (capt).
