The run, at Balloch Country Park, was sponsored by Valvona and Crolla who supplied each of the runners with shortbread after they completed the 5k route.
Event organiser, Maurice Donohue, said: “Well done and many thanks to everyone who came along to the Balloch Shortbread 5k.
“With just over 200 participants and the weather being very kind to us, everyone appeared to enjoy the event.
“A big thank you to Valvona and Crolla for supplying the Shortbread which went down very nicely indeed.
“Thanks also to Colin Lawrie for playing the bagpipes at the start of the event and to Susan Taylor from the Tom Weir Satue Campaign, the British Red Cross personnel and a special thanks to Bob Burness, Balloch’s very own Bradley Wiggins, for his assistance in the running of the event.
“Here’s to a successful 2014.” The Balloch Run’n’Park 5k is on every Saturday morning at 9.30am, for more details, visit the website www.runnpark.leaguerepublic.com.
