The competition takes place at the Ponds Forge, Sheffield on Sunday, October 19 — and the pair will be representing the West of Scotland side throughout the tournament.

It is set to be a busy month for Chloe, who is 17-years-old, and Eve, 16-years-old, who will get back from a week long warm weather camp in Torremolinos, near Malaga in Spain, just in time to compete in Sheffield.

They will accompany another 12 swimmers from West Dunbartonshire Swimming Club along with head coach Jimmy Orr and team manager Gill Thompson.

Both girls recently broke the West District 15-16 year 4x50m individual medley relay, alongside Erica Boutell and Megan Kerr in a meet which also saw Chloe break records in her individual events.

A spokeswoman from the club said: “Everyone at the club would like to wish the girls all the very best in Sheffield.

“We hope that all of their hard work is rewarded with some good results over the course of the competition.”
