LOCH Lomond Minis held their end of season presentation and barbecue on Sunday, June 21 with a fantastic turnout of players and families.

The day was to celebrate what has been a great season for the club’s mini section. The rain didn’t manage to dampen spirits and the players enjoyed an afternoon of fun and games, organised by the coaches including: tag rugby, tug-o-war and rounders.

Fortunately the sun made an appearance, allowing the bouncy castle to go up.

All players were awarded with a trophy for their efforts over the season. Special awards were also presented by the coaches for each age group.

The winners were as follows: P1-3 Most Improved players – Andrew Taylor and Lewis Munn P1-3 Player of the Year – Cam McKay P4 Most Improved player – Calum Crumley P4 Player of the Year – Gregor Munn P5 Most Improved player – Alistair Ledgerwood P5 Player of the Year – Jaime Ferrier P6 Player of the Year – Rachel Marley P7 Most Improved Player – Will McDonald P7 Player of the Year – Duncan Munn S1 Most Improved – Arran Tibbs S1 Player of the Year – Adam Kinniburgh Top Try Scorer – Jaime Ferrier Overall Player of the Year – Aidan McKenna The minis section would like to thank their sponsors: Ledgerwoods Electrical, Hamish McKinnon Fencing, Reid and Robertson, Iain Daly and Babcock for their generosity throughout the season.

Without this support, the section would not be thriving as it is. Also many thanks to the coaches who give up hours of their own time and work tirelessly to promote rugby in the area and develop our young players.

Finally, thanks to all the parents and families who support the club, attend training, travel to games and help out at events.

There is no training on Sundays until the start of the new season. Training will however continue on Mondays (P1-7) from 6-7pm and Wednesdays (S1-4) 7-8pm at the club.
