ON FIRE: Walker, pictured against Brechin City, has found his scoring touch for Dumbarton in recent weeks
AFTER an impressive run of four goals in the last six games, Dumbarton striker Pat Walker is delighted to see the team moving up the table.
The 26-year-old was the Sons' first signing of 2011 when he clinched a deal until the end of the season on the back of some tidy displays as a trialist.
And the red hot hitman, who works in Alexandria, is certain that the Dumbarton squad has enough quality in it to stave of the threat of relegation.
He told Sport Scene: "When I came in the gaffer said that he wanted me to score a few goals, so from a personal point of view it's great to have been getting on the scoresheet in the recent games."
Walker started his career at Ayrshire junior club Lugar Boswell Thistle before being snapped up by former Sons boss Jim Chapman in 2006, when he joined Albion Rovers.
For the first four months of this season Walker was playing at Annan Athletic, but when it became clear that the travelling did not fit in with his work, Adamson pounced to secure his services.
Walker added: "I'm really enjoying my football at the moment and if something was to come up here for next season then I would be extremely happy."
