FORMER Alloa stopper Jamie Ewings was added to the Sons squad on Saturday.

Dumbarton boss Alan Adamson added the keeper, who made 22 appearances for the Wasps last season, to increase competition for the number one jersey.

Ewings also played between the sticks for Cliftonhill club Albion Rovers while they were in the Third Division from 2005 to 2010.

The 26-year-old, pictured, was out of contract with the Wasps who dropped to Division Three last term.

Adamson also snapped up Queen's Park midfielder Martin McBride. McBride played a big part in Queens play-off challenge, scoring eight goals in 35 games.
