THE grieving mum of a murder victim is devastated that her son"s killer could be back on the street in just nine years.

Thomas Taylor was stabbed five times in a 'frenzied' attack by vicious drug addict Alexander Wilson.

Wilson was handed a life sentence on Friday but could be eligible for parole by 2016.

Mr Taylor"s family has now vowed to fight for an appeal on the tariff and his brother Walter was due to meet with Crown agents today (Tuesday) with this in mind.

Evil Wilson boasted he had 'plugged' Mr Taylor, 40, as paramedics were battling to save his life.

Broken Anne Taylor, Thomas" mum, told the Reporter: 'This is not justice. That evil man can get his life back in nine years - me and my family are the ones living a life sentence.

'This pain will never go away.' Quiet Thomas was killed in an unprovoked attack just yards from his mum"s Renton home on June 4.

He had left the house to run an errand for an elderly neighbour when Wilson, 39, stabbed him five times, landing two fatal blows.

Bleeding heavily, he staggered back to the Tontine Park home, gasping: 'Mum, I need an ambulance. Alec Wilson"s stabbed me.' His heart stopped as the ambulance rushed to the Royal Alexandra hospital, Paisley, and attempts to save him, including open heart massage in the hospital"s A&E department, were unsuccessful.

Anne added: 'Thomas" life was worth more than this.

'He can"t speak up for himself, so we"ll be his voice, we"ll do that for him.' The early release clause is a condition in his life sentence for murder.
