A new hair and beauty salon is opening in Dumbarton’s Artizan Shopping Centre, bringing six new jobs.
Mia Strada will run alongside gents barbers Fusion at the shopping centre and officially opens on Saturday, July 11.
Dumbarton woman Nicola Baxter, who also runs sister salon Mia Strada in Clydebank, started her own business after working as a hairdresser in Glasgow.
She said: “I originally trained as a hairdresser and worked all over Glasgow before moving into retail with some major high street names.
“I then retrained and did an HND in beauty treatment and have opened my own salon and am looking forward to bringing the business to Dumbarton and the Artizan which works perfectly for us.
“We get so many clients there who travel from Dumbarton and so we have been looking to open in the town and the opportunity arrived.
“The Artizan Centre is perfect for us too because there is good access and our customers can park easily and make use of our range of treatments.” The new salon will offer a range of hair and beauty treatments including hair extensions, brows, lashes, nails and spray tanning.
The opening on Saturday will feature a number of special offers and treatments as well as champagne, refreshments and DJ Mark Logue.
