A MAN the family of missing mum Lisa Brown have been trying to trace has returned to Spain.
Simon Corner, 33, left the country for Thailand shortly after speaking to police officers investigating the disappearance of the Alexandria woman.
The 32-year-old mum has been missing now for over two months after last being seen on November 4 near her home in Andalucia close to its border with Gibraltar. She has lived in Spain for the last 14 years but was reported missing after failing to collect her eight-year-old son Marco from school.
Lisa's family had pleaded for Corner to return and be interviewed again by cops bidding to find out what happened to her but speaking through a legal representative, Jason Coghlan who runs JaCogLaw, he had initially refused saying he could help no further with the investigation.
Last Tuesday a picture of Corner in the arrivals hall of an airport, thought to be Malaga, was posted on Twitter by Coghlan who had facilitated his return, along with a message that read: "Simon Corner arrived earlier today and he is 100 per cent determined to clear his name of any of the wholly unfounded allegations against him."
However, Corner who is also known as Dean Woods has failed to visit police officers since his return and legal representative Coghlan issued a statement this weekend saying that he would no longer be assisting the Liverpudlian citing "irreconcilable differences" between the parties.
Lisa's sister Helen Jordan from Dumbarton launched a social media campaign to try and find out what happened to her sibling but she was left dismayed to discover that he had yet to talk to police officers.
Speaking to the Reporter she said: "He says he was going to hand himself in to the police but he hasn't, this doesn't put him in a nice light. Three times now he has said he is going to hand himself in but hasn't. If he is saying he is innocent of any wrongdoing then why doesn't he go to the police. It seems as if he is playing games but we are not surprised. We would be shocked if he turns up now. He is giving us the runaround while claiming his innocence.
"It is a waiting game for us and we want to use any means possible to find out what has happened to Lisa."
It has emerged over the last few days that Lisa's car was vandalised and had its tyres slashed on a number of occasions prior to her disappearance.
