Vale of Leven Cricket Club has had a busy month, hosting it's presentation evening, AGM and race night event.
The player's player of the year was awarded to Brian Stavert, with the Captain's prize award going to Adam Thompson.

The Vale is the only cricket club in West Dunbartonshire and are looking to recruit new players, especially from the Clydebank, Dumbarton and Vale of Leven areas. The Vale is always looking for anyone who may wish to take the game up or are looking for a club to play for. Winter indoor coaching (juniors and seniors) will commence on Thursday 12th January 2017 at 7.00pm in the Vale of Leven Academy. Details of training at Lomond School to follow.

The Vale of Leven Cricket Club held its Presentation Evening on Saturday coupled with a fund raising race night. The Annual General Meeting was held a few weeks ago
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Club Captain, Ivan Lawrence experienced a tough season. Playing in a 7 team league (3 games against each team) with 5 of the clubs having more than three time the resources of the Vale saw the Vale suffer many defeats
Hugh Hutchinson, Club President, reported that the club’s school’s project in partnership with Active Schools was a great success. More 500 children attended a four week coaching sessions over the Winter months. He especially thanked the volunteers from the club who ran the sessions. A new youth section was now operating within the club. The project will be repeated during the Winter of 2016-17. The club was recognised for its community work by winning the West Dunbartonshire’s best club award for 2016.
Adam Thompson, Club Treasurer, reported that the club finances were in good order. Subscriptions and match fees had increased. He thanked everyone who helped with fund raising events
Hugh thanked all the 2016 club officials for their work over the past year.
