HELP is at hand for those in Dumbarton and the Vale looking to find seasonal work.
Skills Development Scotland (SDS) advisers are offering support at its Dumbarton centre to anyone looking for free, impartial advice and guidance.
Ann Prior is a personal adviser at the SDS centre, at 31 High Street.
She said: “For young people in particular, seasonal jobs offer a lot of opportunities.
“They can develop their career management skills, learn new skills, add to their CV and earn money.”
“We can help people who are looking for seasonal work to identify opportunities, offer advice on applications, writing CVs and preparing for interviews.”
Ann added: “Our local post school careers advisers can help people access the support tools and resources on our career information and advice web service My World of Work.
“It’s not just at this time of year our doors are open, whatever age you are and whatever stage your career is at, SDS advisers are here to support you.
The centre is open from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday and Wednesday from 10.30am. People are welcome to drop in or make an appointment.
SDS is the National Skills Body and has Careers Advisers in every state secondary school in Scotland as well as in its network of careers centres.
The SDS team in Dumbarton also posts regular updates on events and opportunities in the area on their Facebook page at SDS West Dunbartonshire, https://en-gb.facebook.com/SDSWestDunbartonshire/
