Some of British wrestling’s biggest names will take to the ring in Dumbarton this summer.

Premier British Wrestling (PBW) will grace the Meadow Centre on Saturday, June 2 for an evening of the popular sport, with both established fans and those keen to learn more than welcome.

Event organisers promise it to be a night of “top quality wrestling action”, with some of Scotland’s biggest stars on the wrestling scene set to make an appearance.

‘The Scottish Savage’ Davey Blaze joins a line up including PBW Champion Stevie Xavier, PBW Tag Team Champions Lou King Sharp & Krieger and BT Gunn.

PBW has also confirmed that rising English star Drew Parker will be returning to Scotland for his first match at the Meadow Centre.

Ross Watson, owner of PWB, has expressed his excitement about the event’s return to Dumbarton following two successful shows in June and November of 2017.

“I am buzzing to be back at the Meadow Centre,” he said.

“Dumbarton has been one of our favourite towns to host shows in for over ten years.

“The two Meadow Centre shows last year were fantastic and my aim is to make our 2018 shows even more exciting.”

Mr Watson explained that the event will be family friendly.

Founded in 2006, PBW regularly puts on shows in towns throughout Scotland, including Glasgow, Greenock, Maybole, Inverness, Alloa, Dumbarton, Barrhead and Airdrie.

The promoters have also brought many top international stars to Scotland including former WWE star Kevin Thorn, TNA star Douglas Williams, NJPW star Prince Devitt and ROH stars El Generico, Jimmy Jacobs and Matt Cross.

PBW also played a huge part in the development of Scottish star Drew Galloway – now Drew McIntyre in WWE – before he set off for America in Septemer 2007. Former PBW stars Martin Stone and Pac are also currently under contract to WWE.

The organisation also runs weekly wrestling classes in Barrhead and Airdrie.
