A tribute show, which is based on one of the highest grossing films of 2018, is bringing its musical extravaganza to Dumbarton this week.

The Greatest Show, hot off the heels of the smash hit musical, The Greatest Showman, promises to feature an array of outstanding vocals, dynamic choreography and high energy performances, paired with chart topping hits from the musical.

Released in December last year, the film, which features big names such as Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman, saw huge success from the moment it hit big screens across the world.

And the songs were an even bigger hit, with many of the tunes featuring in the UK Top 40 for several weeks and the soundtrack album achieving 11 consecutive weeks at number one - the second album to retain this position in 30 years.

Now residents of Dumbarton and Vale of Leven can relive all the magic of the movie and sing along to some of their favourite tracks in a tribute show, taking place at the Denny Civic Theatre, St Marys Way on Sunday July 1.

As well as songs from the popular film, audiences will also enjoy a host of feel good classics from musicals such as Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and Fame.

Produced by Best Acts, the show will feature an all star, professional line up which includes James Smart and Shirley McAlpine, who won third place in the live final of BBC1's Pitch Battle in 2017, as part of group ScotSoul and Alan Ryden who has appeared on ITV's X Factor.

Royal Conservatoire trained Carrie-Jane Connor and professional London West End performer Josh Tevendale are also part of the cast, performing alongside Isla McAlpine and Amy Wyllie, who provide additional vocals and dynamic dance routines.

Show times are 3pm and 7pm, with tickets priced at £10. To book visit: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/bestacts.
