A WOMAN was left in a state of fear after a Dumbarton man repeatedly struck her car window and attempted to gain entry to the car as it was parked in a busy retail park.
Dumbarton Sheriff Court heard last Wednesday how John Robinson, 38, of Valeview Terrace, left the woman terrified, during the incident at the St James’ Retail Park, on December 6, 2016.
He previously pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
He was shouting and swearing and repeatedly struck the windows of a car being driven by a female driver and attempted to open the car door.
Defence lawyer Scott Adair said: “He tells me he has had a breakdown in his mental health recently.”
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry told Robinson: “You are walking yourself into prison. If you won’t comply with a community based disposal there will only be one option left open to me. I have written these words on your notes: ‘last chance’.”
Robinson was told to come back to court on August 22 for a community payback order review.
