Loch Lomond Young Farmers are marking their 75th in anniversary in style by holding a field day and barn dance.

The Loch Lomond Live at 75 event at Kipperoch Farm in Dumbarton promises to be a fun-filled day and evening for all the family.

Kicking off at 2pm on Saturday, August 25 there will be an afternoon tea, a team shears contest, stock judging, an auction, a bouncy castle and a raffle with a host of exciting prizes

The £15 ticket also includes a two-course meal with a burger and strawberries and cream, as well as entry to the dance at 8pm, which will feature a live band.

Organiser Sara McKenzie, secretary of the Loch Lomond branch, urged those with and without a connection to the Young Farmers to come along and make the most of the event.

She said: “It will be a great day for everyone to enjoy. Anyone and everyone can come.

“There will be lots of different things happening like a speed shearing competition, another cycling a bike to generate power and another doing a novelty thing like bursting a balloon, which will all be timed.

“There will also be a selection of kids activities and, for those who just want to come to the dance, tickets are priced at £10.”

The field day and barn dance is the first of three events being held to mark the landmark birthday.
