A DISRUPTIVE neighbour repeatedly made threatening remarks to a Helensburgh couple and refused to adhere to a court banning order.

Craig Edwards, 44, of Rosshead House, Alexandria, committed two offences at the Ben Bouie Drive property on August 30, 2017.

He admitted shouting, swearing, screaming and making offensive remarks towards neighbours, a man and a woman, putting them in a state of fear and alarm on two separate occasions on the same day.

Dumbarton Sheriff Court heard on September 7 that Edwards went back to the same property in Ben Bouie Drive on September 13, 2017, and repeatedly shouted and swore towards the neighbours.

In committing the September offences, Edwards breached a bail order imposed on him at Dumbarton Sheriff Court the day after the August incidents, banning him from contacting or approaching his neighbours.

He appeared in court on Friday after a social work background report was requested, but sentence was deferred further for the matter to be dealt with by Sheriff John Hamilton.

Edwards’ bail was continued.
