A MAN who was caught producing cannabis has avoided a jail sentence.
Paul Graham, 51, of Islay Drive, Old Kilpatrick, was sentenced at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Friday after pleading guilty to producing the class B drug at his home on May 18, 2017.
He also pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis to others.
Sheriff William Gallacher put Graham on a community payback order, including 12 months of supervision by social workers, and ordered him to carry out 230 hours of unpaid work.
Sheriff Gallacher told Graham the sentence was a direct alternative to custody.
