Support two charities and get some exercise this Sunday, December 2 with an annual festive training run.
Join the half-marathon starting from Dumbarton’s Meadow Centre at 10 am, or take part in the 10 km run from the Canal Drop Lock in Dalmuir at 11 am. There’s also the smaller 5 km and 2 km runs beginning from the Lock 27 pub in Anniesland, where younger participants can join in the fun with “pram wars” and a parent and toddler race.
The run is in support of the charities Funding Neuro and Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland.
Organiser Alan Kennedy said: “All money raised is split between the charities with all the prizes, cakes, and water being donated. It's a very relaxed, fun, no-pressure run and the key is to have fun and raise awareness.
“Once again there is an honesty donation to sign up and we hope to raise more than £2,000 to share between the charities.”
To sign up for the run, and receive the donation link, email Alan Kennedy at surfaceplus@gmail.com with your name, an emergency contact number, and which distance you’ll be running.
