The sister of missing expat Lisa Brown has spoken of her son’s torment and pain after he spent his fourth Christmas without his mum.

Lisa Brown, originally from Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, went missing from her Spanish home in Guardiaro in the city of San Roque, southern Spain, on November 4, 2015.

Spanish authorities were contacted when 32-year-old Lisa failed to collect her 8-year-old son Marco from school.

Marco, now 11, has not seen his mum since she vanished and his aunt, Helen Jordan from Dumbarton, took to social media to speak about how much he misses her and the terrible suffering he’s endured since she vanished.

On the ‘Find Lisa’ Facebook, Helen said: “Another Christmas without Lisa and it gets harder.

“Marco has missed out on so much and although he has us all it will never make up for what he’s lost.

“His whole world was turned upside down and his life changed forever.

“He has gone through more pain than some adults do in a lifetime and he’s only 11.

She added: “We will try and make this a happy day for him and our mum because if anyone deserves it they do.

“We miss you every day Lisa not just today, all our love Princess.”

Spanish judge Javier Garcia Ramila in the San Roque court was ordered by a higher court in Cadiz to re-open his homicide investigation against Lisa’s ex-boyfriend Simon Corner in September, following expert analysis of his mobile phone.

The decision was taken in a behind-closed-doors hearing and was only made public the following month.

He and five other Brits are expected to find out early this year if they will be charged and tried.
