A MOTORIST was stopped by police in Dumbarton last week - for driving with their windscreen covered in ice.

The BMW driver was pulled over by officers after travelling down the road while not able to see out their windows.

Police Scotland have been urging motorists to clear their vehicles of snow and ice properly before beginning journeys.

But this driver obviously didn't heed the warning, and was slapped with a fixed penalty notice.

Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Police Division said on Facebook: “Please remember to fully defrost your vehicle prior to driving and give yourself extra time for your journey. The conditions are freezing, and the road conditions are hazardous so be mindful of this and take extra care.”
