The emergency services have been dealing with an incident near the railway between Balloch and Dumbarton Central.
Scotrail has confirmed, however, that the emergency services are now clear of the line and trains are now able to run between Balloch and Dumbarton.
The disruption had been expected to last until 3.45pm with train services between Airdrie and Balloch delayed or terminated and started back from Dumbarton Central.

The 3.16pm train from Airdrie to Balloch will now be started from Anniesland.
It will no longer call at Airdrie, Coatdyke, Coatbridge Sunnyside, Blairhill, Easterhouse, Garrowhill, Shettleston, Carntyne, Bellgrove, High Street, Glasgow Queen Street, Charing Cross, Partick and Hyndland.
