A flood warning has been issued for Dumbarton by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).

SEPA’s website says there is a risk of tidal flooding to car parks and footpaths opposite Quay Pend during high tide this afternoon, at around 2.45pm.

It says: “Due to the combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions there is a risk of tidal flooding to car parks and footpaths opposite Quay Pend at the time of the next high tide at approximately 2.45pm.

“Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.”

This flood warning is in force until further notice and was sent out to registered customers of the Floodline direct warning service via a free phone text message.
