A shop owner at Loch Lomond Shores has won a prestigious industry award.

Andrew Howell, who runs Loch Lomond News, beat off competition from top retailers across the UK to win the title of Collectable Product Retailer of the Year at the NFRN Awards.

He received his prize at a glittering ceremony hosted by broadcaster Trevor McDonald at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on February 12.

The award celebrates his dedication to providing a niche product and a ‘just ask’ ordering facility to his customers.

Collectables have formed a significant part of his business for the last few years, ranging from classic favourites such as Pokémon to unusual collections like ECC cricket.

Along with collectable cards and stickers, partwork magazine series are also available at Loch Lomond News, with some customers collecting for over three years.

Andrew has sold over 5,000 packets of LOL Surprise stickers for kids alone and also sells collectables at local Comic Con events.
