RENT payments to West Dunbartonshire Council will go up by 2 per cent in 2019/2020.
Councillors voted unanimously for the rise, proposed after consultation with tenants and residents across the local authority.
The rent rise works out as an average £1.56 extra a week over 52 weeks. Lock-up rent levels will be kept at £5.55 per week.

A report to the council last week said the 2 per cent rise would help fund an improvement of an extra 800 showers.
A total of 250 people responded to the survey on rent increases with 16 people attending a public meeting.
