Pupils from schools in Vale of Leven showed off their athletics skills last week.
Youngsters from Christie Park, Gartocharn, Lennox, Balloch, Renton, Bonhill, Levenvale and St Martin’s Primaries all competed in heat three of the sportshall athletic festivals run by West Dunbartonshire Leisure’s Sports Development programme.
The activities the children took part in included relay races and field events such as standing long jump, standing triple jump, speed bounce, chest push and javelin.

Gayle Brown, assistant sports development officer, who was in charge of the event said everyone had a great time battling it out.
She told the Reporter: “Thanks to all schools for participating, I hope everyone enjoyed their day. It was great to see so many young people getting active and loving athletics.”
The heat winners at the February 20 event were Christie Park and the runners up were Gartocharn and Lennox.
All three schools will now progress on to the Sportshall Athletics finals on Thursday, April 25.
The final results from last week were: Christie Park (254 points), Gartocharn (228 points), Lennox (228 points), Balloch (214 points), Renton (210 points), Bonhill (178 points), Levenvale (156 points) and St Martin’s (132 points).
