TRANSPORT police are hunting for two boys who allegedly set fire to a train seat on a journey between Balloch and Dalmuir.

The incident happened on board a ScotRail Balloch-Airdrie service between 9.40am and 10.10am on Wednesday, April 3.

The pair are reported to have set fire to a seat, then pressed the train’s emergency button.

They got off the train at Dalmuir station, but British Transport Police say the pair continued to act in a disorderly manner after leaving the train, and that they got into a confrontation with a person who refused to allow them to re-board the service.
