A group of ladies from Vale of Leven Hospital have celebrated their upcoming milestone birthdays by organising a Gin and Jammies night to remember.
Several members of the nursing staff are all turning 40, 50 or 60 years of age this year and they wanted to mark the occasion by raising funds for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
The event at St Patrick’s church hall was a great success, generating more than £3,000 for the charity.

Paula Currie, senior charge nurse, said: “We wanted to raise money for the hospice for the tremendous work they do supporting patients and their families.
“We had a wonderful response to our request for raffle prizes with over 80 companies stretching from Glasgow to Helensburgh and far too many to mention individually.
“We would like to thank each any every one of them who provided a donation and helped us achieve over £2,800 on the night and a further £300 via direct online donations.”
