MORE than £1million has been raised so far ahead of this year’s Glasgow Kiltwalk - and that’s before a step has even been taken.
A total of 14,700 walkers have signed up for the event and have collectively raised £1.1m for Scottish charities.
Walkers to date have raised an incredible £830,000, with a further 40 per cent - £332,000 - added courtesy of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation.
This year’s Kiltwalk takes place on Sunday 28 April, and is set to be the biggest ever, with over 600 charities in Glasgow and the West set to benefit from the generosity of Scots.

Walkers will set out between Glasgow Green and Loch Lomond, taking on one of three distances – 24 miles, 15 miles or 6 miles.
Paul Cooney, Kiltwalk CEO, said: “A huge debt of gratitude must go to our Kiltwalkers for their efforts raising such an incredible amount of money so far. This is a hugely impressive figure which will make a real and lasting difference to charities.
“A record-breaking number of walkers will be taking part and there’s still time to sign up.
