Youth sports teams can apply to win free kits and cash prizes

Arnold Clark’s “Gear Up For Sport” competition is open to all youth sports teams from the ages of four to 15, whether they take part in dancing, netball, football, gymnastics, cricket or rugby.

To enter, a team representative just has to visit the Arnold Clark Gear Up For Sport webpage, fill in their team details and they’ll be entered into a prize draw.

Winning teams will be able to choose from either playing kits or training gear in a range of colours.

Eddie Hawthorne, the company’s chief executive and group managing director, said: “We know how important sport is for young people and Gear Up For Sport is a great opportunity to give something back to our local communities.

“Over the years, we’ve given away more than a thousand kits to youth sports teams throughout the UK.

“We can’t wait to hear from the next generation so we can help them get ready for the new season.”

Last year’s competition saw a record number of entries with winners from a diverse range of sports, including archery, beach volleyball, boxing, cheerleading, trampolining, lawn bowls, shinty and wheelchair basketball.
