Winners of the “Dunbartonshire Chamber Business of the Year” award have told of their delight at bagging the prestigious accolade.

European Circuits Ltd (ECL) was announced as the overall winner at the glittering Working4Business Awards dinner, which was attended by around 200 guests at Clydebank town hall, and hosted by Scottish comedian, Karen Dunbar.

Damon Scott, chief executive of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The entries for this category are always really strong and it was tough to pick the winner from the three excellent finalists that included European Circuits Limited, Bruach Design and Consultancy and JC Electrical & Security Solutions Ltd.

“Ultimately. European Circuits’ entry impressed our panel of judges most, demonstrating effectiveness in business with a clear vision for the future, innovation, people development and community impact.

“This is a fantastic fit with many of the values of award sponsor, Clyde Marine Training (CMT), whose team were also invaluable in picking an outright winner.

Colin McMurray, CMT director, said: “On behalf of everyone at CMT, we’d like to offer our huge congratulations to European Circuits Ltd.

“As successors to our own sister company Clyde Training Solutions, who won the same award last year, we appreciate just how much of an honour it is to be recognised by the Chamber and our peers.

“But more than that, it is heartening to see how well companies on our own doorstep are doing, providing for not just a local or even national audience, but internationally.”

Philip Briscoe, the winning company’s sales manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised by Dunbartonshire Chamber with this award.

“It’s a real credit to the team here at ECL for all their hard work in growing the company.

“It is a fantastic way to celebrate 20 years in business, supplying printed circuit board and printed circuit board assemblies to a wide variety of industries throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

Philip added: “We’ve been members of the Chamber of Commerce since 2009.

“Being part of the Chamber has been a great advantage to us and allowed us to network and meet many other businesses in the area.

“I would encourage any business to join and take advantage of Chamber Membership.”
