Kind-hearted nursing staff from Vale of Leven Hospital have handed over a cheque for £3,155 to The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

As previously told in the Reporter, all of the ladies are turning 40, 50 or 60 years this year and they wanted to use their birthdays to raise money for this worthwhile cause as one of them had recently lost a relative to breast cancer.

To do so they held a fundraising ‘gin and jammies’ night at St Patrick’s Church Hall in Dumbarton and had a wonderful response to their request for raffle prizes with over 80 companies and a plethora of individuals backing the event.
