A Dumbarton climber is celebrating after successfully bagging all 282 of Scotland’s Munros.
Ian Simpson, 49, earned his place on the Scottish Mountaineering Hall of Fame after finishing his final peak, Ben More on Mull, last month.
His journey to complete the notorious challenge has seen him face scorching sun and freezing blizzards, all whilst tackling some of the country’s toughest terrain.
The former Vale of Leven Academy pupil previously took on Loch Lomond’s 20 Munros in just five days to raise money for the old Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow in 2016.
During the final push to complete his marathon effort, Ian covered more than 800 miles in just over two months.
