RESIDENTS of Dumbarton and the Vale are set to have the chance to take to the trees at a country house.

The Woodland Trust is hosting the extreme tree climbing event at Overtoun House, which will give attendees the chance to see the famous estate from high above the ground.

Participants will be secured with a harness, and taught how to climb into the trees.

Six different hour-long slots are available for the event, between 10am and 3.30pm on August 10, with bosses hoping that’s enough time to get the adrenaline pumping.
