A VALE man has admitted driving while more than four times the legal alcohol limit.
William McAllister, 38, of Cables Drive, was stopped near his home on March 30.
He supplied a breath sample with a reading of 91 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath; the limit in Scotland is 22 microgrammes.
At a hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday, Sheriff Maxwell Hendry noted that McAllister had previous convictions for drink-driving and being drunk in charge of a vehicle, dating from 2005 and 2013 respectively.
Sentence was deferred until August 2 for background reports, and an interim driving ban was imposed.
