YOUNGSTERS in Dumbarton and the Vale put on a fun-filled evening of entertainment recently.

The Tullochan Trust Activ8tors primary project successfully organised a ‘We’ve got talent’ competition and after 33 acts auditioned the best 10 made it through to the final.

A packed out audience of more than 250 people crammed into the Lomond Shores auditorium at Drumkinnon Tower where they were treated to range of acts.

The proud winner was Rachel Skelding, a promising young singer with an amazing voice, who was described as giving a “breathtaking performance” by one of the judges.

Second place was singer Charlie McFarlane, while Kelli Gallagher came in third after performing a traditional dance with a modern twist.

The most promising prize went to a troop of hip-hop dancers called Conglomerate.

Television and radio personality Des Clarke was on hand to host the glittering event, which provided a fitting end to a well-run project by the hard-working team of youngsters.
