A TALENTED Christie Park Primary pupil has won first prize in a national art contest.
Heidi Regan entered the Steven Brown art competition to design a sporting friend for the Scottish artist’s McCoo.
The contest received more than 5,000 entries from across Scotland and the former P7 pupil was delighted to learn she had come out on top in the P5-7 category.

Heidi (pictured right) said: “I was very impressed with myself and with the character I created. I drew a leopard and called him Leroy.”
She received her prize from Steven Brown at the Scottish Education Awards at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, an annual event which celebrates hard work and success within the sector.

Over 550 people attended the event, including finalists, sponsors, VIPs and government ministers.
