A NUMBER of traffic restrictions will be in place later this month when the Scottish Pipe Band Championships return to Dumbarton.

Bridge Street which goes over Dumbarton Bridge will be closed and diversions will be in place between 8am and 8pm on Saturday, July 27.

Vehicles will also not be permitted to wait or load when indicated by signs on the complete length of both sides of Bridge Street, Clydeshore Road (West Bridgend to Vier Terrace) and West Bridgend between 8am on Friday, July 26 and 8pm on Saturday, July 27.

The same restriction will also be in place between 8am and 8pm on Saturday, July 27 on the following roads: the access road to Leven and Lomond Courts (for 25 metres from West Bridgend), Bowie Street (for 25 metres from West Bridgend), Clydeshore Road (Vier Terrace to Clydeview - mostly West side), Clydeview, Comelybank Road (mostly north side), Dixon Avenue (mostly south side), Dixon Drive (mostly south side), Helenslee Road (Clydeshore Road to Kirkton Road - mostly north side), Kirkton Road (mostly east side), Levenford Terrace (mostly east side), School Lane (Comelybank Road North to Road End - mostly east side), Vier Terrace (mostly south side) and Woodyard Road.

The restrictions may be applied in part or whole but will be implemented as required.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians, but bus routes will be diverted as indicated on affected stops.
