A ROAD safety body is looking to help keep kids in Dumbarton and the Vale safe in cars.

Road Safety Scotland and Good Egg Safety have announced plans to come to the Rock, in an effort to educate parents on how to correctly fit car seats.

The groups have been hosting these types of events for some time, and found last year that 57 per cent of car seats they assessed had been fitted incorrectly.

On Sunday, September 8 from 11am and 4pm, trained experts will be on hand at the Morrisons supermarket on Glasgow Road to offer advice, as well as to assess the current state of residents' car seats.
