Children in Dumbarton and the Vale are being given the chance to get out and about.

As part of their Summer Curiosity Club, Lodestone Creative will be at Christie Park in Alexandria on Friday.

From 12.30pm, youngsters aged between five and 12 years old will be able to play games as well as go on an exciting outdoor adventure, under the watchful eye of Lodestone staff.

As well as the fun and games, staff have also set kids a challenge ahead of the event, - to bring their own lunch which is free from single use plastics, in a bid to teach the youngsters how to help the environment.

Following their eco-friendly lunch, the children will be able to enjoy as much of the outdoors as they can, before the session ends at 2.30pm.

However, the fun doesn’t stop there, with Lodestone Creative hosting another pair of sessions during the rest of the school holidays, every Friday at the same time until Friday, August 2.

An earlier session, dubbed Wild Child, will also be held between 11am and 12.30pm for younger children, aged between one and five years old, including a joint lunch with the older group.

Parents are reminded to ensure their little ones are dressed appropriately for outdoor activities, to protect against the Scottish summer weather.

Tickets are priced at £5 per child, and are available through Eventbrite.

Parents also have the option of paying £20 for five sessions, which can be a mix between the Curiosity Club, Wild Child, and other Lodestone Creative projects being held across Dumbarton and the Vale this summer.
