A MAN who stole alcohol three times in two days from the same Alexandria store has been given extra jail time.

Anthony Stewart, of Park Crescent, Dumbarton, previously admitted the theft of bottles from the Scotmid in Tullichewan Drive on January 5 and twice on January 6.

The 33-year-old also pleaded guilty to shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence to three people in Tullichewan Drive on January 6.

At Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week, Stewart appeared from custody, serving a nine-month sentence for breaching a previous community payback order (CPO).

Defence solicitor Brian McGuire said his client insisted his offending “cannot go on”, but accepted: “He has said this before.”

Sheriff Maxwell Hendry added an extra four months to be served at the end of the current jail term.
