A DUMBARTON child minder has been praised by watchdogs, including a rare “excellent” rating.
Elaine Wilmslow runs the service from her home in the town, and can look after a maximum of six children.
The Care Inspectorate, which scrutinises care providers across Scotland, paid a visit on June 20.

Of the three criteria assessed, Elaine was given two “very good” ratings for the quality of the environment and management, as well as the highest possible grade for the quality of care provided.
The report, published on the Care Inspectorate website, said: “Through discussion, we found that the childminder knew children well and was well versed in their individual care needs and routines.”

Inspectors can make recommendations to providers on what they could do better, but none were given to Ms Wilmslow.
