HELENSBURGH’S annual Stand Up To Cancer family festival takes place at Hermitage Academy this Sunday, August 18.
After bad weather caused the cancellation of last year’s fun day, the organisers opted earlier this year to move to the indoor surroundings of the school to keep the event weather-proof.
There’s lots of activity planned between 12 noon and 4pm, kicking off with live music from local cover band Hot Ratz and also featuring the Urbaniks Street Skool of Dance, excerpts from the Matinee at the Musicals 2 show which was staged in the town earlier this year, a musician, juggler and more.
There will also be plenty of stalls selling arts and crafts and delicious food and drink.
Entry to the event costs £5 for adults, £3.50 for children and £15 for a family of up to five, while entry is free for children under three years of age.
Don’t miss next week’s issue of the Advertiser for full coverage of what promises to be a memorable day of family fun.
