HELENSBURGH’S Police Scotland Young Volunteers competed against groups from all over Scotland at the service’s national training college at Tulliallan recently.
The fifth year of the PSYV National Competition saw six young Helensburgh volunteers – Robbie, Ella, Chloe, Craig, Ross and Lauren – lock horns against 34 other groups from across the country for the honour of being crowned the best in Scotland.

At the post-event awards ceremony, held in Alloa Town Hall, Assistant Chief Constable John Hawkins presented the Helensburgh group with the prize for the competition’s best T-shirt design, winning cinema tickets for the whole group.
PC Carr said: “The enthusiasm and spirit shown by our PSYV team were a credit to the PSYV Helensburgh group as a whole and already preparation has begun for the next National Competition in 2020.
